USGA's Shannon Rouillard at MSGA-WD Annual Rules Seminar
The Annual Rules Seminar of the MSGA-Women’s Division took place at Argyle CC on April 29th. Shannon Rouillard, USGA, ably filling in for Clyde Luther and Ann Guiberson, introduced the Rules of Golf to more than 45 attendees participating in the session. Lively discussion and a variety of questions were precipitated by Shannon’s excellent verbal and visual presentation, which included a number of videos illustrating specific rules. REVISED 2013 Poindexter Cup Team
The following girls were selected for the junior girls Poindexter Cup which will be held at Indian Creek Y & CC on July 5-7. Criteria for 2013 USGA Women's State Team Championship
The MSGA-WD will be selecting 3 players to represent Maryland in the 2013 USGA State Team Championship. This year's event will be held at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio. Two players will be selected based on a point system and another will be a captain's choice pick. If you would like to be considered for the team, you must submit your golf resume. 6th Women's Mid-Amateur Championship at Hog Neck Golf Course
The 6th Women's Mid-Amateur Championship will be held at Hog Neck GC in Easton, MD on June 5-6. Players must have a USGA Handicap Index at a MSGA Member Club of not more than 25.0 as of 4/15/2013 and must be at least 30 years of age by the first day of play. Registration will remain open until 4:00 PM on May 24th.

Junior Girls Championship at Hunt Valley Golf Club
The 37th Junior Girls Amateur will be held at Hunt Valley GC in Phoenix, MD on June 18-19. Players must have a USGA Handicap Index at a MSGA Member Club as of May 1, 2013. The competition is 36-holes stroke play in age divisions 16-18, 14-15, and 13 & under. A 9-hole division is available for girls age 9-11. Scholarship money will be awarded to the overall Champion and Runner-up and to the winners in each age division. Registration will remain open until 4:00 PM on June 4th.
